Bush-Whacker HD60

The HD60 follows Bush-Whacker’s signature "over-built" design philosophy. While most 5-foot mowers are light-duty machines, the HD60 features a dual-plate deck (10-gauge top and 12-gauge bottom), providing a total thickness that resists warping and vibration. The 1/4-inch thick side skirts are significantly heavier than the competition, ensuring the frame remains rigid even when working in the rough, rocky terrain often found in Southwest Virginia.

The powertrain is where the HD60 truly outclasses its rivals. It is equipped with a high-torque 120 hp gearbox, the same heavy-duty unit used on their larger 6 and 7-foot models. This massive gearbox allows the heat-treated suction-lift blades to maintain maximum tip speed through heavy mats of grass without straining the internal components. A heavy-duty stump jumper is standard, protecting the gearbox from catastrophic damage by allowing the mower to ride over solid obstructions.

The HD60 is designed for ease of maintenance and long-term durability. Its smooth-top deck design makes it easy to blow off debris and prevents water from pooling, which is critical for preventing rust.
